Exactly
I will repeat this as long as I have to, when the Supreme Court said in 1937 that the Social Security Act was “unconstitutional”, FDR didn’t ask people to vote harder in the next election, he told the Court he’d add more justices until they backed off, which they did.

What is to stop retaliation by the Republicans and having them put even more Trump people on the court?

not certain the President could make the change without the approval of Congress. the court and the Constitution are integral parts of the checks and balances we need to avoid unchecked power by any one party. better to write and pass laws that are constitutional.

Democrats casually joking about destroying institutions instead of voting like people in a Democracy do.

Damn! This is how things get accomplished! Biden is either a complete nebbish or just has no moral compass regarding the lives of regular people,

Uh. No. Not even close. CONGRESS, not the president can add more justices. FDR could make that threat ONLY because he had a massive supermajority in congress for 12 years. You get that ONLY by "voting harder." "Historian" here telling us THIS vv "doesn't matter."🤦‍♂️
