Too many people cling to illusions even more tightly in times like these. It’s easier than facing the truth (and, perhaps, their complacency or complicity)

Yes, the strange attachment to words written hundreds or thousands of years ago by people doing what they could in different times is killing us. We need to think & adapt to inevitable change. I swear if the people of Salem wrote the constitution, we'd stll be drowning & burning.

You say that as if the system is not working exactly as it is supposed to. In fact, it is. It is set up to provide champagne to the few instead of clean water to the many, and that is what it is doing.
