There’s something liberating about being forced to give up any illusion that a system is working. It makes the total articulation of something new seem reasonable, because it is.

Oh, is it that time of the week again? Don’t worry folks, 1 - 3 days & Marianne Williamson will be back to sing the song 🎵“The System is working, we’ll just have to replace some ‘bad’ gears-expialidocious” 🎶 again

Slightly different take on this. The system is working exactly as it is designed, for the people who designed it, nurture it, and perpetuate it: The major parties, lobbyists, big $ donors, the political-industrial complex, the media. None of those, however, are "We the People"

People keep saying the system is broken, while voter turnout continues to be abysmal across the country, and especially Red States. After everything that has happened in Texas, just 18% of eligible voters voted in the primaries in March. People don't participate.
