If, by "people," you mean "people with ill intent": Perhaps so. But licensed concealed handgun/pistol carriers have statistically lower offense records than the general population *and* statistically lower "bad shooting" records than law enforcement.

Even California has castle laws which allow people to use deadly force in their own homes against an intruder if they fear for their own or someone else’s life. Homeowners are not required to flee their homes. And it applies to renters. Off base with your claims.
