Capitalism serves EVERYONE! Because of capitalism, the individual can take care of himself, instead of being taken care of by the gov't. Gov't is NOT your friend!

This is true, but if the people you're telling don't understand economics or how they function then you get the silly comments we see in here.

An economic system should exist to serve the people - that has never been capitalism and will never be capitalism. It’s antithetical to its core principle, profit above all. This is why we need to move to a socialist economy, an economy that serves the people is the whole point

You mean like a system of voluntary exchange where private property rights are respected? A system where you have to sell/produce a product/service to a person that actually wants to buy it for an agreed upon price in order to make any money?

The way many worship the economy (and those who truly own it) is akin to to volunteering to be a nail so the hammer has something to swing at.

Serve the people.. Enable the people to aspire.. You trade skill for cash... Or take risk for opportunities.. Work hard get rewarded..

Im glad i live in Norway where this exact system is strived for. It certainly isn't perfect, but i can go to a hospital withouth beeing bankrupt, and i can study without beeing a debt slave.
