Sorry but the prior two+ yrs have taught me that the LAST thing I ever ever *ever* want is for the govt to be in charge of healthcare. I used to be an avid supporter of universal health"care," but now? 🤬 A) We need an entirely new system & B) It should never be govt run. No way.

All advanced democracies in the world have universal healthcare except us. Hundreds of thousands of Americans die every year because of inadequate healthcare & for one reason only: the greed of the private insurance industry & the willingness of our political system to play ball.

As soon as they pay for it, they start feeling the ability to first have a say in it & ultimately control it. And perforce the people it supposedly "serves," too. Next thing you know, it's free DNRs for everyone deemed somehow less than worthy of "our" expense. Nope. No thanks.

marianne, governments around the world have been using their healthcare programs (and mandates) the last two years to conduct medical experiments on people against their will. there was once a trial in germany about exactly this. your stance is completely ignorant of history.
