Talked with a German cousin last night about how every citizen there gets full healthcare and free education through college or tech school. It’s just their normal. She said “ I don’t understand why people in America say ‘socialism’ like it’s an insult.”

It’s Capitalist indoctrination, that’s why.
They also have much more demanding curricula in school and a far more educated population that we do!

It’s only an insult because of white people. They would rather go without if it means non-whites will benefit from it.

Because it is indeed an insult to free people to strive for socialism just because they give you “free” stuff. Someone still has to pay for it.

Lack of education. The success of the US press "journalists" dumbing down its populace. Celebrities and the rich given more credence than ideas and reality.

Because Americans have been educated that way. We barely know beyond Canada and Mexico.
