Talked with a German cousin last night about how every citizen there gets full healthcare and free education through college or tech school. It’s just their normal. She said “ I don’t understand why people in America say ‘socialism’ like it’s an insult.”

“I don’t understand why people in America say ‘socialism’ like it’s an insult.” That word does not mean what those Americans think it means. They’d rather be “right” than understand the word and admit they were misled.

Not just Germany but many other countries recognise the value added to its society when you have a higher educated population and that it doesn't come with a lifelong debt to pay.

Repubs are afraid of positive change. They see it as bad Socialism. Please go to your Republicans out in farm land to vote Blue. Tell them it's social programs that gave them SSI. They won't listen anyway.

The wealthy greedy politicians use socialism as a weapon. They want socialism for themselves. This attack on helping the people has been going on since FDR.

Too much corruption in USA, and too much insurance lobby. The sad reality of why it will never happen. The insurance lobby puts a lot of cash in politicians' pockets. It is sickening, as an American living in a Nordic nation, I understand how good medicine can be.
