Talked with a German cousin last night about how every citizen there gets full healthcare and free education through college or tech school. It’s just their normal. She said “ I don’t understand why people in America say ‘socialism’ like it’s an insult.”

Public nudity is also acceptable in Germany. Did she also comment why people in America are so prude?

Some are easily manipulated/brainwashed in this country.

Socialism works a lot better when you have another country picking up the tab for your national defense. Get back to me in a year or too.. when higher energy costs and the costs for resetting millions of immigrants are more firmly realized..

Americans have been sold propaganda that says socialism is akin to communism by the media.

If polls are correct then a majority of Americans do want basic services from govt like healthcare. But as usual in the past 40 years only the neoliberal (center right) and right wing view saying that such services are a sign of ‘evil socialism’ is projected by dominant media.

The USA has socialism but it is socialism for Corporations. And, the only thing keeping the USA from becoming a 3rd World country is the dollar being the global currency that we can create from thin air. No other country can do that and get away with it,
