Today I would say $1T. It was an important moment for me because the debate was in Detroit. I knew what Detroiters had shown me when I lived there, and I knew I would never forgive myself if I didn’t make the argument for reparations on the stage that night.

Marianne, printing $1T into the economy would cause inflation to skyrocket even further, which would harm the people you want to help. Please think this stuff through.

First of all it’s not just dumping $1T into the economy; it’s money to be disbursed over 20 years. Closing the economic gap between blacks and whites would expand the economy by $1.5T

Why do we punish people who never held slaves and give money to people who never were slaves? My family got here in the early 1900s and were dirt poor, yet I’d have to fund this. It’s insane and discriminatory.

It’s called Generational Cash Payment Reparations bc the harms of US Chattel Slavery & all its vile after effects expanded GENERATIONS. 20 yrs won’t cut it. We start at $20trillion & that’s just a down payment. Pls refer to Economists Thomas Craemer Ph.D. or #DrWilliamDarity

You want to pay Black Americans which are about 40 million 25k a piece in "education and economic renewal" benefits over a 20 year period? So basically you want to give Black Americans $1,250 a year for "reparations" for twenty years 🤦🏾‍♂️
