Our country has lost its power to respond to an emergency & we're dealing with multiple ones. The govt doesn't respond effectively because the corporations-1st mentality that dominates govt (both parties) IS the emergency. A perspective that creates a problem can't solve it.

The underlying issue is centralized government. No bureacracy responds effectively. The more expansive the bureacracy the less efficient the possible response.

Marianne, I think it's worth pointing out that your response to all these emergencies has consistently been to tweet, or podcast, and nothing else. If you're so enlightened as to see the problem but do nothing about it, YOU are part of the problem.
