Yuppies not only tolerated the growth of private power, they whored themselves to it. These later generations (X, Y, Mills, deze-dem-doze) have done nothing to alter this. Middle-class Mammonism has reached its conclusive form.

No. The private power has grown because the government power has control of them. They are using the employers as government collection agencies and coin distributors. Yet the gov employee directly receives funds from paychecks skimmed, ransoms of property and caging of children.
Being cultured, educated, with Critical Thinking ability, is the key of a good democracy. 💜 Democracy needs to be combined with great values, such as spirituality, compassion & arts, to avoid materialism, egoism & intolerance.
