The crimes of the Nixon administration were almost small compared to those of the Trump administration. The main difference is that more people at that time actually cared if there were criminals in the White House.

Exactly… citizens cared and seemed to have more of a reverence for democracy.

People forget that Nixon resigned only after being told by the Republican Senate Leadership they would vote yes to impeach. I wonder if McConnell called Trump to assure him that wouldn't happen to him.

Nixon's war crimes against the people of Southeast Asia are orders of magnitudes worse than anything Trump did. If this were some other country, we would recognize what was crime and what was massive crimes.

Nixon and his henchmen got pardons (some after short jail terms), tv and movie gigs, book deals, and newspaper columns—despite criminal activity, murder plots and extreme views. That’s how much America cared.

The evidence indicates that Nixon resigned because Watergate investigation was exposing other party malfeasance involving big donors). His resignation shut that down. That undermines the claim that Rep senators begged him to quit because they were more ethical.

Like Watergate, the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign and Hilary’s 2016 election campaign made up a completely bogus dossier in an attempt to link Trump to Russia. You wanna talk Hunter and his fathers connection to illegal activities? Why do you ignore these?

At that time the Republican Party wasn't working together to destroy the Republic of the United States of America. Most of them where is faithful to the oath to the Constitution. Those days are gone.
