Carter put solar panels on the top of the WH; Reagan’s first act was to take them down. If we’d gone green when Carter first wanted,if we had hi-speed rail &other forms of mass transit the way we should, none of this whoredom for oil & desecration of the planet would be happening

The panels are window dressing that is meaningless. A grid cannot operate on solar and wind alone. A grid can't come close to it. Go #nuclear, or civilization dies. It's that stark.

Well SloJoe is trying to emulate Carter in many other ways so maybe he’ll work on this 🤔

That's the problem w US democracy. Carter was the best president of my lifetime. But GOP successfully blamed & shamed him for inflation and Iran Hostage Crises failure. GOP justs influences the mind of enough people w demagoguery and propaganda. And they've been doing that well.

Where would we be today if Reagan, and other Republican Presidents, hadn't been in office? Probably 100% renewable, clean energy.

Man, Marianne, your voice in US politics is one of the very few that make me feel an inkling of hope.

And now there are thousands of private jets going to, oh, lest say Switzerland, while they lecture us on climate…those solar panels were a good idea at the time but would be a drop in the ocean now

Ask California about their proposed high speed rail system that was set to be installed costing tax payers millions or perhaps billions without it being built. Where’d the money go?

Carter destroyed the oil industry before there was a shred of infrastructure built for oil free living. This tweet means absolutely nothing
