Carter put solar panels on the top of the WH; Reagan’s first act was to take them down. If we’d gone green when Carter first wanted,if we had hi-speed rail &other forms of mass transit the way we should, none of this whoredom for oil & desecration of the planet would be happening

How do you stop. A 150 year old monopoly between railroad...auto..oil..who have protected their assets and markets controlling our interests always driving it in the oil-coal-auto-railroad-?... Shelving parents to horizon our energy to solar-wind-anti/gravity technologies....

You missed the big IF... if corporations weren't given creeping control of the WH and Congress through legal bribes. Both parties allowed it with the excuse everyone else does it. Why should we handicap ourselves for the sake of ethics? The good old American way.

I don't know if Reagan shut them off immediately but they were on the roof until 1986. They were always out of sight of visitors. Yes the 11 terms of Reaganomics has been a disaster.
