Carter put solar panels on the top of the WH; Reagan’s first act was to take them down. If we’d gone green when Carter first wanted,if we had hi-speed rail &other forms of mass transit the way we should, none of this whoredom for oil & desecration of the planet would be happening

The oil trade is one of the lubricants that forces the US dollar to circulate around the globe. Our ability to remain perpetual importers is reliant upon it. Ending fossil fuel use would require a radical reorganization. This needs to be made explicit.

That radical re-organization is exactly what is necessary.

Probably. However, I am curious to find out where those panels were made? Did America make solar panels back then or were they imported then as well?

You are speaking fantasy. I live in an area where solar would not even begin to power my home in the winter, or summer. We have mass transit and it isn't used due to lack of safety.
