Inflation is causing Americans anywhere between $340-$450/mo more in food costs, casting millions more into hunger & poverty. Biden's willingness to blame all this on Putin and not call to task the unmitigated unregulated greed of American corporations is cynical & disgusting.

Corporations do not set the price of commodities, the futures market does. Oil producers tend to draw oil from fields that are the largest and have the cheapest "lift" costs. Their lift costs remain the same whether or not gasoline is selling at $2.50/gal or $6.00/gal. 1/2

All Biden has to do to lower gas prices is to sign an executive order allowing drilling in Anwar oil field. Since oild is a futures market, we will see a decrease in oil prices the next business day.
