It bugs me that a TX politician is trying to outlaw drag shows for minors. It’s not about whether or not children should watch the shows; it’s the dark suggestion that drag queens are doing something harmful to children to begin with. What’s shameful is the politician doing this.

You object to making it illegal for MEN to dance in a sexual manner in front of CHILDREN? You are defending pedophiliac grooming!

So you think that 6 year old kids should be taken to strip clubs to put dollars in the thongs of the strippers or do you only support it when the person wearing the thong is a guy dressed as a woman?

Drag has very fetishistic origins(tranvestism). Even if its now more entertainment the sexual charge remains there. Its like a foot fetish show - no matter how much art was infused in the endeavor, it still started as guys getting boners to feet. No place for children.

The issue is government funded drag shows. A local library funded a show. Library got embarassed when someone posted a video on social media of the performer engaged in an a fake orgasm contest. Not something a teacher could do in their spare time and keep their job.
