It bugs me that a TX politician is trying to outlaw drag shows for minors. It’s not about whether or not children should watch the shows; it’s the dark suggestion that drag queens are doing something harmful to children to begin with. What’s shameful is the politician doing this.

There is a concept that needs to be reintroduced back into society: moral boundaries. If you find yourself siding more with adult men in drag than with children because it what you should do to be inclusive, the boundary is too blurred and you need to come back over it.

It'd about overtly sexual behaviour. Texas is a very conservative state.

Dev. of the drag queen in the U.S. was influenced by blackface minstrel show. Orig., performers would only mock African American men, but as time went on they found it amusing to mock African American femininity as well. They performed in comedic skits, dances, and "wench" songs.

Lol they totally are. Just as a strip show or burlesque show for minors should be outlawed. Take a look in the mirror and ask yourself when you became so morally bankrupt

What is shameful is someone pretending to love Christ but showing more concern for drag queens than children.

Give her time and a few Vice Articles telling her what to think, and @marwilliamson will be fighting for Blackface shows in our schools alongside the Womanface shows.
