It bugs me that a TX politician is trying to outlaw drag shows for minors. It’s not about whether or not children should watch the shows; it’s the dark suggestion that drag queens are doing something harmful to children to begin with. What’s shameful is the politician doing this.

They ARE doing something harmful to children… It’s called grooming. They are purposefully blurring the lines of sexuality… And they’re now boring the AGE lines with sexually provocative interaction… The sexy dancing in underwear. Why is this so difficult for you to grasp?

Growing up in Britain, we had pantomimes. Double entendres abound. I particularly remember the matron and her cat ... the line "keep your hands off my pussy!" got laughter from both adults and children, possibly for different reasons. bbc.com/news/uk-england-manc…

The fact that this has now become a talking point is insane, it applies to like 15 people total. It’s more of the right wasting time on bs culture war topics. But on the flip side this isn’t worth arguing over because again 99.99% of parents are not taking kids to a drag show.

Drag queens in themselves aren’t harmful, drag shows are 9/10 inappropriate for kids. Parents can let their kids watch what they want at home, that’s completely up to them. Probably shouldn’t be a school sponsored activity though.

It’s got one purpose and that’s to anger insecure people. No outrage over Milton Berle or Nipsey Russell in generations past because it’s not a problem. The hate exists in some people’s hearts and this is just a trick to pull it out.
