It bugs me that a TX politician is trying to outlaw drag shows for minors. It’s not about whether or not children should watch the shows; it’s the dark suggestion that drag queens are doing something harmful to children to begin with. What’s shameful is the politician doing this.

some drag shows are sexually charged but drag is not inherently sexually charged. G-rated drag is exists & is easy to do. the fact that politicians consider drag “depraved & perverted” is because of queer phobia, NOT because of the nature of drag
