The reason Americans don’t trust our institutions is because the institutions have proven themselves untrustworthy. From Congress to SCOTUS to WH to big business, institutions expected to be at least on some level responsible to the people have been exploitative and even cruel.

A friend of mine pulled me back from the apathetic brink today with something similar. Then I see this. Renewed vigor. Some of us MUST be willing to fight back against those will deny us everything in pursuit of…profit.
