The reason Americans don’t trust our institutions is because the institutions have proven themselves untrustworthy. From Congress to SCOTUS to WH to big business, institutions expected to be at least on some level responsible to the people have been exploitative and even cruel.

So why still insist on working within these corrupted, evil institutions if you know for a fact that our electoral system is broken and RIGGED, then?! If you can't trust one institution (republican party), you CANNOT trust any institution (i.e. the democratic party)!

They worked/propagandized so hard for that reality. The reality where they exploit within the “rules” of our joke of a democracy and call it the will of the people. And millions drink the koolaid proudly and patriotically. They’ll never give up that reality.
