Jesus spoke. Confucius spoke. Buddha spoke. Lincoln spoke. Gandhi spoke. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke. We should probably retire this one.

To make visible injustice one has to speak, even shout! The biggest voice is in your vote!!

If taken literally, #LaoTzu’s quote implies he didn’t know, since he spoke. So either (a) he didn’t know, or (b) he did know - and his statement shouldn’t be taken literally.

Im not surprised you do not understand the depths of Lao Tzu’s wisdom. Only foolish people only interpret from the most superficial level. Obviously, Tsu spoke through his writings that continue to influence spiritual people worldwide. You’re a good ex. Of speaking but ignorant

And Robert F. Kennedy who died today in 1968 spoke. I’m still grieving.

@katyperry also, He who listens, learns. He who speaks too often does not have time to listen.

Speaking, or sharing sense, can also take place through silence, vibrations, acts. Mere talking is what the sentence may refer to. If speaking the truth is the core of your tweet, I agree. But even many people in good faith speak "the truth" not living it, in egoic ways.
