Why should future high income earners get debt forgiveness that the working poor will never see Ms Williams. You think a neurosurgeon making 500K per year should have their loans wiped away? Meanwhile the Walmart cashier or fast food worker can’t pay their rent?

Poor people usually aren't the ones racking up $100k+ in student loans..

A better plan would be a $10,000 credit for all that 1st has to be applied to student loan debt & then it is used as a tax credit that rolls over for 10 yrs. People with no student loan debt can reduce their tax deductions from their paycheck until they use up their tax credit.
Sorry Marianne but I agree with this one…
I want to reply to her, but I realize the futility. Christ, I work so hard and get nowhere with regard to. The rich do NOT.
Major government spending equAls major inflation. It will cost more in other ways. Nothing is “free”

If it’s not a permanent cancellation ie free college, then she has a slight point… it becomes a short temporary band aid
