Sadly, neglect & abuse of the majority of citizens to benefit a minute minority became the American Way again in 1980 after a brief respite starting w/ trust busting in the late 19th cent leading up to the New Deal and its successors in the 20th cent. No end in sight yet…

…but the system never worked for younger generations. And really the older generations overlook the ways it failed when they felt it worked for them. So they have no bs sentimental attachment to this garbage system, this monster we’ve created

They're pretty close to being grown up already and they idealize things like violence and civil war. They've been convinced that ending the world and starting from scratch is preferable to the Qanon-style fantasy world they inhabit.

Um yeah - pretty sure you have generation of traumatised kids from the previous era of brutality - slavery - America is a violent country always has been - always will be - it’s your power

In Oklahoma they r extremely under-educated & traumatized.
