And not just the students who were actually involved in shootings at their school, just the drills traumatize children as well. We already have a major mental health crisis in this country.

Sadly, I've seen this tidal wave coming for decades. Broken families, latchkey kids, cheater politicians, crippling recessions, glorified violence across media, & other factors...do add up, & it's only getting worse. Hard to be hopeful while evil is winning.. 😢

I taught teens with half military kids during invasions of Somali, Afghanistan & Iraq - years of trauma & now our current horrors…..you are right on!
