You think we have crises now…? - just wait til our current generation of massively traumatized kids grows up. This country has no idea what’s barging down the tracks at us now. Our collect neglect and abuse will come back to haunt us; it already is.

I’m in my early 30s and I think about this a lot. Will these generations be healthy enough to form a competent workforce, so that I can expect SS benefits when/if I’m able to retire? Will there still be jobs for that generation or will almost everything be automated away?

Have you ever had a talk with a boomer? They regularly got the shit beat out of them. My dad had southern parents and they made him choose the stick he was gonna get hit with. The first time he chose a "switch" he chose a twig. His mom fetched a branch as punishment.

Not to mention the hell-on-earth that our present passivity is ensuring will be their inescapable future. "We love our children." Emptiest of words, given our inaction.

As opposed to previous generations of those massively traumatized? Who, exactly, do you think all these mass shooters are? How privileged and removed from reality do you have to be to think trauma is new? Last I heard, deaths of despair aren't happening to anyone under 50. WTF.
