Reading twitter, it’s obvious how many people are more afraid of the government than of the corporations that control it. How successful they have been at disconnecting the dots and displacing people’s rage.

Money should be out of politics AND corporations aren't always the enemy.

It's the influence of decades of anti-democracy bad economics in the conservative style, largely unaddressed by academic economists, that suppresses understanding of economic power and the role of politics in defining, distribution, using economic power.

without government, what power would these corporations have over us? yes, they are both complicit, but people don't believe in corpos the way they believe in the state. and w/o the power of the state, corps could only make profit through trade.

Well to be fair - corporations don't criminalize dissent directly. They use their purchased government, selectively applied legal system, and militarized law enforcement to do that for them. They have purchased all the safeguards against people's rage and accountability.

The irony is the abject weakness of government in the face of corporate power

And as corporate power becomes consolidated into fewer and fewer hands (monopolization), it becomes harder and harder for the consumer to even avoid fueling the forces of their own enslavement anytime they make a purchase. It all feeds into the same self-destructive system...

Clearly you’re reading the wrong peoples posts. Or you’re just saying it because it’s your new method to start some shit. You’re transition from Course of Miracles to politics was unfortunate.

You say yourself that this government is controlled by corporations...they are the same, and should be feared/hated on the same scale.

You are frighteningly on spot since the Founding Fathers were fully aware of the dangers corporations posed to our nation. Corporate Charters have not been yanked. I've railed against Privatization when it is to corporations our assets go.

Yes I've noticed this as well. In addition to your observation, too many underestimate the potency of state of the art mind control propaganda technology.
