"The bills include raising the age to purchase a semiautomatic rifle from 18 to 21, a ban on civilian body armor, and changes to the state’s red flag law." It's a start. New York did it. It can be done! ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/new…

How about a thirty-day waiting period and thorough investgation. Background check and canvass of neighbors, teachers, and medical professionals. Who is going to pay for it? A $500 fee on the gun buyer.

Yet we will not address male violence or the issues with mental illness and wage discrepancies in this country. This bill is virtue signaling.

That isn’t good. Civilians literally need body armor now.

Can NY being any more stupid with their gun laws? NY has already forced the Supreme Court to address problems with their gun laws. Now, they ignore the problems with criminals repeatedly illegally carrying guns and engaging in criminal acts. cbsnews.com/news/supreme-cou…

New York did it? That's proof of what exactly? That these measures do absolutely nothing to curtail violent crime? Maybe pick a better example such as New Hampshire with 2nd lowest violent crime rate in the US (Maine is #1). Btw, NH is a "Constitutional Carry State."
