It's a psychological challenge, at this moment more than a political one, to be simultaneously clear that the system as it now exists is both morally and criminally bankrupt, AND totally convicted that we're going to unravel this mess and repair, regenerate & reform our democracy

The main issue with America’s politics right now is called Republicans. If Democrats are out of the White House they still keep working for the People. If Republicans are out of the White House they will do anything in their power to work against the People until they are back

Perhaps we are evolving toward what you suggest, our history however tells another tale. Our creation myths are filled with stories of survival from cataclysm. Civilizations rise and fall and it is difficult to stop the fall.
