Marianne Williamson says "you absolutely can (vote out fascism)." Really? 1. Can you even prove that your vote counts in this system? 2. How are you voting out fascism by voting for Democrats, who are owned by the same lobbyists that own Republicans?

Replying to @B43Franco
In a situation like this, if one is an F and one is a C-/D+, I’m going with the C-/D+. Plus Build Back Better was a seriously good bill that would never in a million years have been passed by the Republicans.

One is an F the other is an F, you are choosing to go with an F, and pretending it is a C- because you don't have any skin in the game.

Build Back Better wasn't passed by Democrats either. How is that making a persuasive case for anything?

the infrastructure component was strictly about selling things off and privatizing. all the better parts of bbb were quietly taken out of it by the Biden administration

Recognize two different aspects of fascism. The corporate fascism controlling politics (from nominations to legislation and regulation) cannot possibly be 'voted out'--by definition. You can vote out persons or parties that embrace the coarse language and symbols of fascism.
Dems have used this argument for decades. Done buying into it. Vote 3 rd party. Anyone but a dem or republican.

But it’s worse now. Why can’t seemingly smart people admit these simple realities we are living in?
