YES! Mass shootings went down 43% during that time, then tripled once the ban was repealed.
We had an assault weapon ban for 10 years: 1994-2004. The world didn’t end. People kept their (other) guns. They bought new guns. It was hardly an attack on gun ownership. This is the least we can do.

Too many don't trust government. Taking guns away will be a difficult task, even if only a few are taken.

So we're just supposed to cower in front of a mass of bullies? If we demand a buy back for assault weapons but people can still own other guns, the govt didn't "take away their guns." Right now, the situation is taking away our CHILDREN.

Three strikes law most likely was the cause in the drop in shootings. Most shootings use handguns. Shootings didn't increase for many years after the AW ban expired, but continued to fall. An increase in violence in large cities has led to this increase. Softening on criminals.

Wikipedia: “Studies have shown the ban had little effect on overall criminal activity, firearm homicides, and the lethality of gun crimes. There is tentative evidence that the frequency of mass shootings may have slightly decreased while the ban was in effect.”

statistics can be twisted depending on who you wanna believe. How about we talk honest facts. Ban every single weapon in the US that you want. What will result? Fully automatic weapons, not semi automatic but FULLY automatic weapons, will come pouring in from the Mexican border.

By leading people towards your false god, you are actually part of the problem, Mari. The “Jesus” from ACIM is a false Christ and you need to repent for preaching this false gospel and your false “God”, who is not YHWH.

The ban only regulated certain cosmetic features of ARs and Aks, such as flash hiders, bayonet lugs collapsible stocks. These rifles, minus the features continued to produced and sold. With hundreds of thousands of new rifles mass shootings went down? There's more to this.

None of the weapons covered by the ban have been used in mass shootings. Correlation is not causation. By this logic, Quake ended mass shootings and YouTube started them back up again.

Yes I agree ... This is the least we can do!
