Along with calling 202-224-3121 to tell your Congresspeople you want them to pass HR8 and an assault weapons ban, there is also something else you can do. Anytime you see someone spewing NRA propaganda online, push back with truth and statistics. I posted quite a bit of it here.

I’m not arguing for or against. Is it a new sales only ban? Banning the caliber too? If buybacks are a thing, market value? Or you just going to rip off responsible owners with a crappy price. Bans are not simple in this case. Let’s see a legit plan.

Sell out! If those teachers were trained and armed, those kids would be alive. Weapons manufacturers aren’t going to stop making weapons. The government will ensure that and that they control who has guns so you will never be able to refuse a vax or travel freely again.

Once 19 Police Officer “Good Guys” with guns refuse to save children begging for help, the NRA & GOP no longer have any say other than banning military grade assault weapons & accessories. The Gov’t should buy back every single one from a business or person willing to sell them.

Trump once called for a total and complete shutdown of the entry of Muslims to the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on. Maybe that is what we need to do with assault weapons.

How do you feel about Canada a country that froze it's citizens bank accounts and promised to ruin their lives because of a peaceful protest, placing a freeze (which could be a prelude to a ban) on the ownership/buying/selling/trading of handguns?
