I never hear people on the right say oh people will never vote for this or that or oh the system is too fucked up it’ll never happen; they see what they want and say ok let’s go make it happen. 1/3

A problem on the left is all the social approval given to cynicism & despair. I understand why people are depressed & angry about the oligarchy, but every time we talk about it like it’s an insurmountable problem we give it power. That’s exactly what they want you to think. 2/3

The gun issue is a perfect example. Like healthcare & climate change it’s an example of corporate power tyrannizing us yes. But negativity about our prospects is not the answer. If enough of us say we’re going to change things and we’re not going to stop until we do, we will. 3/3

I don't think you quite have their thinking down. They want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to pretend to support something and then use that issue to get people out to vote for them without ever actually having to take a stand on it. Gun rights. Tax fairness....1/2

That’s because the people who can afford to sway elections happen to align their interests with the right. The right doesn’t win. If the left went hard right on tax policy but stayed left on social issues the right would destroyed in days.

This explains the gun issue.

Good luck with that. You have majority across the board support for increasing gun laws, for health care for all, for legal cannabis, for student loan reduction--but the elected officials, the ones YOU GUYS *demand* we vote for, DO NOT CARE. They just don't.

Marianne, How many of "us" is "enough". What I see in referring to all our issues on violence, gun control, climate change is an overabundance of "hot air" and no action. Why??? What "answers" to these issues would you suggest? And to whom?

This is why we stop voting the Duopoly. If the pain is a few extra terms for Republicans. Oh well, we won't be any worse off. Stop voting for Democrats and let's organize a party that's not simply camouflage! Don't let them say "it's not possible because that's the trap.WAKE UP
