I never hear people on the right say oh people will never vote for this or that or oh the system is too fucked up it’ll never happen; they see what they want and say ok let’s go make it happen. 1/3

A problem on the left is all the social approval given to cynicism & despair. I understand why people are depressed & angry about the oligarchy, but every time we talk about it like it’s an insurmountable problem we give it power. That’s exactly what they want you to think. 2/3

The gun issue is a perfect example. Like healthcare & climate change it’s an example of corporate power tyrannizing us yes. But negativity about our prospects is not the answer. If enough of us say we’re going to change things and we’re not going to stop until we do, we will. 3/3

If you want anything done you've got to either get ten thousand signatures on a petition or march for it. #GeneralStrike

Conservatives have a majority in our government. They have the entire Republican Party and the a good portion of the Dem Party, so they can be hopeful that their agenda can pass. Progressives have a small portion of the Dems and the Dems fight them more than they fight the GOP.

Exactly! Also, they never ever say electoral politics and voting don’t matter, because clearly they do.

I don’t believe in right or left anymore. Despite the fact that there was more of a social conscience left in the positionds of right and left, it never did work. The right dedicated to self interest, the left dedicated to societal needs but both paradigms were flawed.

The right also has long-term goals and a strategy. I don’t think Dems constitute “the left,” but as a party they do not have a coherent agenda or goals. The actual left has goals — time to come up with a strategy

They have built in advantage. We have 2 right wing parties win-win for them. I be excited 2 if had to chose between 2 left candidates.
