I hope you’ll call your Congresspeople tomorrow at 202 224 3121, the Congressional switchboard. Tell them you want them to support HR8 to expand background checks, close gun show loopholes and more. If Repubs filibuster, which they will, let the whole world watch them do it.

Or #Democrats could just eliminate the filibuster instead of continuing to protect it while they still have the majority.

It’s unbelievable that they won’t, particular considering that the Republicans surely will once they have power again. Or they could do a carve out just for this one issue.

Are we asking why the Dems won't drop the filibuster? Why they supported Manchin over a progressive? Why they are always powerless to do things, even when they have the power?
