Squirrel talkin dumb again. Any time the Republicans filibuster something the first question that pops into my head is "what did the Dems put in it that took it too far". Then I look at the text and after a few minutes - there it is. Just like last time...the time before that...
I hope you’ll call your Congresspeople tomorrow at 202 224 3121, the Congressional switchboard. Tell them you want them to support HR8 to expand background checks, close gun show loopholes and more. If Repubs filibuster, which they will, let the whole world watch them do it.

That bullshit isn’t going to work this time. What’s “going too far” is allowing any Tom Dick or Harry without even an adequate background check buy an AR-15.

This is in line with how y'all do laws like the Roe codify. In that case Dems included verbiage like "shall be interpreted as liberally as possible" which got it tanked - then it was followed up with something like your reply. It's just optics for something you intentionally lose

It's the "pass this bil no matter what we put in it or you look like you hate people" kinda approach. Stupid way to legislate and never accomplishes anything.
