We shouldn’t pretend to ourselves that the implosion of American civilization occurring right now is less dangerous than it is, but neither should we acquiesce to the idea that it’s the final scene in the play. It’s up to us how we write the Third Act.

The narcissism inherent in our capitalist system isn't letting up. Gouging fellow Americans...What businesses are willing to lower their prices to make sure all Americans have enough? What landlords would lower their rents so a working class person could afford to live in a city?
