Imagine what our country would look like if we had federal funding of political campaigns - if money wasn’t a factor in politics at all. We’d have a chance at a government “of the people, by the people and for the people.” Money out of politics has got to be the ultimate goal.

Except, the unions that fund so many campaigns directly will be against it. As will every PAC, and every lobbyist in DC. And, as is always the case, the incumbents of both parties will collide to game the system in their favor, just like they’ve already done.

I'd suggest, news networks be required to run a certain number of campaign adds Free. They should not be allowed to profit from politics.

That would be a start, but how do you get something like that passed when the wealthy completely own our government? Think about all of the things that need fixed: - Citizens United - Gerrymandering - elimination of the Fairness Doctrine No way they vote to fix those.
