So I'm trying to get this straight. The police wouldn't take on this guy but the NRA says we should arm teachers and let them do it? Maybe keep AK-47's in their bottom drawer?

Yes. People already in danger kind of have an extra incentive to engage.

The teacher just keeps a handgun on his or her hip all the time, like in a holster? That's how it works? Or in a locked drawer, in which case there would be no time to retrieve it?

Think how many more gun sales and profit they could make with that policy? It’s about the money.

Guards Marianne, not teachers, but guards. You seriously are not listening.

Right wingers have been unrelenting in sending me nonsensical and insanely cruel comments about guns and the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse who shot people dead. He should’ve been found guilty, period.

Have you ever heard of anything more ridiculous? They want to arm teachers to defend kids against assault weapons, but cops who are trained and employed to do just that could not! HOW INSANE DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO BELIEVE THAT? We cannot let these imbeciles keep saying this stuff!

Teachers and staff being able to come to work (with school board approval) and put their handigun in a biometric safe in their classroom or even their locked car if they want is a powerful deterent. Most legally posted gun free zones makes for easy targets for criminals.
