It shouldn't matter what age you are. No one needs an AR-15 or any other assault weapon designed to massacre people. When we had an assault weapons ban from 1994-2004, mass shootings went down 43%. After it expired, mass shootings tripled. End the filibuster. Ban assault weapons.

Banning AR’s (not automatic, not assault rifles), is just one step, next step, ban handguns bc by far most gun deaths are bc of them. Next they’ll ban your kitchen knives cuz you could kill with them too! Don’t give an inch to those who want to strip you of your rights to defend

But for the century before 94, there was barely any shootings at all, while guns were even more freely available. I don't think this arguments works in your favor. It's focusing on the symptoms and not the root cause.

This isn’t going to change until 1) most of the Supreme Court ends their lifetime appointments 2) the people who own all of our federal representatives experience an economic shock that makes them decide it must change.
