The police chief of Uvalde has finally admitted that the police made the "wrong decision" failing to storm the classroom where the children were murdered. He said "If I thought it would help, I would apologize." Mr. McCraw, it will help. An entire nation needs you to apologize.

But think of the lawsuits. Never admit to wrongdoing is the Playbook. Look at Big Pharma, big payouts w/o admitting to wrongdoing. The payouts on this blunder will just about bankrupt this part of Texas

Their "wrong" decision was between their personal safety and rescuing the kids from a homicidal situation. We've seen situation after situation where social regulators have chosen their personal safety over the lives they should be protecting.

Don't worry, some other tragedy will happen in the next week or so and his apology won't be required. If Sandy Hook didn't cause the US to act on gun violence, neither will Uvalde. This is the United States of America, not the United People of America.

Interesting he's not interested in apologizing unless he sees some benefit. Simply confessing his grievous mistake isn't enough. He needs something for something. If he really wanted to help, he'd resign.

An entire nation needs you to *step down and those officers fired without their pensions for their incompetence and absolute dereliction of duty," Mr. McCraw. Sorry Marianne, but apologies are not nearly enough here.

That’s such a smug reply. He should’ve said, “this was the biggest mistake in my entire life. I will regret this forever and I will do everything I can to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.” That’s an apology.

Apologize. Then fire every cop on the force. Then resign.
