In the United Kingdom it took ONE school shooting in 1996 to change the law on gun ownership. There has not been a school shooting since. In Australia, it took one serial killer's shooting spree to change the law on gun ownership. There has not been a mass shooting since.

It is mind-boggling to citizens of other countries that there are no strictly enforced gun laws in the United States, especially in light of the fact that a child of elementary school age is more likely to be murdered by gunshot at school than to die in an accident.
