Governor Greg Abbott of Texas was asked whether an 18 year old should be able to buy an assault weapon. He said that that has been the case for 60 years and he doesn’t see what’s happened that things should be any different now.

The problem isn’t age, 18 iOS fone, it’s the kinds of guns, ease w/ which the wrong ppl get their hands on them like gun shows, prevalence/number of guns ALREADY on the streets, lack of mental health care, and the divisiveness in society, wherein the media stokes hatred and blame

What happened is 60 years ago 18 year olds wouldn’t go shoot up schools! He should stop his NRA contributions and make a change! He forgot about the El Paso Walmart massacre that happened a while back! Pro life my ass!

Yes, he is accurate. All he can see is the NRA $$.

What hasn’t changed is the corrupt politicians getting paid by gun manufacturers.

One thing we now have the ability to accurately share information cross county, state, country, and the ability to track people virtually all their lives via the our social’s. I don’t think it’s a hard mental leap to imagine where we go from here in an equitable way.
Which is EXACTLY why he should no longer be the Governor of Texas!!!!
