This is a societal issue. Decades of bad policy and all the despair wrought by the self serving politicians giving our futures away to appease their corporate masters. Start there. Get the rot out and let society heal. It's worsening and this is what happens in a sick place.

While I agree, I think the number of guns - especially assault weapons - is already well past what can be controlled or reigned in. I just don't know how this thread of madness ends.
