For anyone who tries to pull the canard that today’s shooting has nothing to do with gun control and was simply a mental health issue on the part of the shooter: the larger mental health issue is the greed and insanity of a nation that allows guns to be so easily accessible.

What about the greed and insanity of the decades of bad policy and declining standard of living? Most can't afford a home. Retirement was stolen. You don't think a couple people here and there are going to go nuts? There is a root cause. It isnt guns. Overly simplistic.

The gun is a tool amongst many choices. You seek to diagnose symptoms with symptoms, while we all ignore causes. Hating women seems to be number 1 on the list for causes. So why is education coed when it is clearly a dangerous place for a woman much less a girl?

I do believe this is a mental health issue. We do have to take a look at mental health of those in power who sends thoughts and prayers again and again yet does nothing in action to address the problem and also mental health of those who sends these same people to office.

Disarm all the home invaders, muggers, gangsters/police, private security, military contractors and actual military first to prove to us it's conceivable; then we can begin discussing getting the remaining 390,000,000 guns out of circulation. Proof of concept first, then scaling.
