For anyone who tries to pull the canard that today’s shooting has nothing to do with gun control and was simply a mental health issue on the part of the shooter: the larger mental health issue is the greed and insanity of a nation that allows guns to be so easily accessible.

We sent $54B to nazis, but we can’t fix our schools, train our teachers, free college, raise the minimum wage and have a health system that work on prevention instead of the pharmaceutical industry. The middle and lower classes are paying the greedy oligarchy in the US.

It’s also the case that none of the federal legislation seriously entertained by Democrats over the past decade has been anywhere near aggressive enough to categorically change things in a nation that already has more firearms than people in circulation

Overworked underpaid people are having to do more and live with less each day. Nothing improves. It just gets worse. We used to know out neighbors in this country. You want to blame inanimate objects. I'm for violent people not having them. I'm not for taking rights from people

How is a 18 yr old who kills children mentally stable?

That is true. Partially. When do we begin to admit that there is another fundamental factor at play: how do we manage the things that influenced the human whose finger pulled the trigger? Until we address that, we are deadlocked on mass killings.

The ghouls that hide behind the mental health excuse refuse to do anything for mental health as well.

I would like to ask the people insisting that this is a mental health issue what are their plans and policies to deal with the issue. What do they plan to do to fix the mental health issue.
Every once in a while you make sense. I agree with you on this
