For anyone who tries to pull the canard that today’s shooting has nothing to do with gun control and was simply a mental health issue on the part of the shooter: the larger mental health issue is the greed and insanity of a nation that allows guns to be so easily accessible.

Too soon to be trying to use this tragic event to push a political agenda. You are national political figure and you would expect your first post about this situation should be along the lines of: Our prayer and condolences are with everyone that died at the Elementary school...

The mentality of the Lt Gov of TX?!?! He's saying that the way to curb this violence is to put guns into the hands of more people so they can stop a mass shooting before it gets started. I...JUST....DON'T....KNOW

And it's driven by money and power. We're a sick country and so many things are failing and almost all stem from this iteration of capitalism.

No accessable enough. How many dead kids of even just half the teachers were armed?

No amount of dead kids will sway a Republican "pro-lifer" on this, money and power is all that matters to these bastards.

It's beyond pathetic. We can't make any strides on guns or or mental illness because of lobbyists.

The NRA used to support background checks & other actions for responsible gun ownership. LaPierre destroyed it. I guess it's just coincidental that the country with the highest gun fetish (or ownership) is the one with the most murders & mass shootings. You're a Texas gal-U Know
