Because the federal government already has the power to fix the issue. Why print more money to hand to lobbyists. The FDA can fix this right now if they wanted to.

Both parties support the cops that stop people from taking formula off the shelves or taking over production at the factory. You don’t want to fix the problem you just want to take tax dollars and funnel them into these emergency funds that only act as a bandaid.
